Ashleigh Dawe

Ashleigh Dawe

Ashleigh Dawe is an incredible young advocate, originally from South Australia, with over three years of advocacy experience. In 2024, she served as a Northern Territory Youth Week Ambassador while working as a Governess through Katherine School of the Air. Following this, she was selected as the 2025 Chair of the Northern Territory Youth Round Table.

Ash is a powerful climate advocate. Last year, she was living on the Tiwi Islands when the region was hit by ex-tropical cyclone Fina. She took this experience to Parliament House, highlighting the increasing impacts of climate change across the Northern Territory. Recognising that global warming disproportionately impacts young people, Traditional Owners, and local businesses, she also called for the Northern Territory Government to end all oil and gas projects.

As a leader in the Northern Territory, Ash has fought for pragmatic responses to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Her work has also contributed to a more connected Territory, bringing together rural, regional, and remote perspectives.

Ash is currently studying Health Science and Occupational Therapy online with Charles Darwin University. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and camping.
