Azuki Holder-Sakamoto

Despite being just 14 years old, Azuki Holder-Sakamoto already has over a year and half of youth advocacy experience. She first engaged in advocacy in 2025, when she joined the Youth Environment Council. Less than three months later, Azuki was elevated to the National Advocacy Space after being selected as a South Australian representative on the National Youth Steering Committee. She now also serves as a representative for Kangaroo Island on the Youth Affairs Council of South Australia's Youth Info Hub Working Group.

Her advocacy is deeply rooted in her lived experience as a young person who has lived in remote communities her entire life. She has developed a unique understanding of the challenges faced by young people in insolated communities, motivating her to advocate on behalf of young people in her community.

She continuously works to help shape politics and programs to reflect the diverse realities faced by young Australians, helping ensure that every young person feels seen, heard and valued.

In her free time, Azuki enjoys craft, reading, and she's a comedian at heart-with a particular skillset in roasting others.
