Esther first engaged in Advocacy in 2024 when she completed work experience at the Northern Territory Council of Social Services. Since then, she has represented Central Australia as Secretary of the Northern Territory Youth Round Table in 2025 and as a NT Youth Week Ambassador in 2026. She has also been involved in national advocacy through NAPCAN’s Youth Speak Out Council, and the eSafety Commissioner’s Youth Advisory Council.

Her advocacy focuses on the challenges young people in remote areas face every day, including youth justice, climate change, education, energy and housing insecurity, and mental health. She believes that where a young person lives should not limit their opportunities.

Esther is also working to make advocacy spaces more accessible to young people. As one of the few young Territorians involved in national advocacy, she is aware of her own privilege and the voices that often go unheard. In 2026, she founded the Central Youth Network to help more young people get involved in advocacy.

Esther is also a Year 12 student at St Philip’s College and enjoys trail running and hiking in the West MacDonnell Ranges.
