Eva Susanto
Eva Susanto is a dedicated community volunteer and medical student in Darwin. The 17 year old is in her second year of the Bachelor of Clinical Sciences at Charles Darwin University, after graduating in 2024 as the Dux of Haileybury Rendall School when she was just 15 years old.Â
Eva’s commitment to her community began from a very young age. Since 2015, when she was 6 years old, Eva and her brother, Peter, have sold their Grandmother’s traditional Indonesian snacks at the Nightcliff Foreshore and Cullen Bay, donating the funds to various charities. Beyond her own initiatives, Eva volunteers with many organisations, sharing her knowledge with and learning from other young people. She is also an active member of the Nightcliff Swimming Club and the Darwin Badminton Club.
She is currently serving as the Media and Communications Officer in the CDU Student Council and is the only undergraduate representative in the University Council. Eva is also a 2026 NT Youth Week Ambassador and the cofounder of Supra Education (2025).

Fundraising on the foreshore
"I have been fundraising since I was 6 years old. My brother and I sell our grandma's traditional Indonesian snacks every Sunday at the Nightcliff Foreshore and Cullen Bay. Over 11 years, we've raised over $13,000 for charities including Fred Hollow's Foundation, Cancer Council NT and Dawn House. This year we are fundraising for Foodbank NT."

UA Solutions Summit
"In February, I represented the CDU Student Council at the UA Solutions Summit in Canberra. At the summit, I was able to get some ideas that could be brought back to the NT. This is a photo of me with the 2026 Australian of the Year, Katherine Bennell-Pegg, and we had a conversation about the importance of encouraging girls to take male-dominated STEM pathways. I also spoke on the "Student futures: belonging, safety and success" panel."
