Naomi Destacamento

Naomi is a health advocate based in Alice Springs. She has represented young Northern Territorians through her role as the Secretary of the 2026 Northern Territory Youth Round Table, involvement in the Mabuhay Multicultural Association, and as a Young Ambassador for the Central Youth Advocacy Network. Her work allows her to give back to the community that raised her by platforming Centralian voices.

Much of her advocacy stems from her work within the Northern Territorian system. Growing up, she saw firsthand the challenges young people faced while navigating the healthcare system. Now, she aims to help empower young people with the confidence and knowledge to make informed decisions about their own wellbeing. This stems from a simple truth, young people deserve to have their voices heard in decisions that affect their health.

"Empowering young people through knowledge, compassion and advocacy creates healthier communities because every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive."

Naomi works as a Nurse at Alice Springs Hospital, having graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing last year.
