Zahin Seedat

Zahin Seedat is a mental health advocate based in Palmerston. He has represented young Northern Territorians through his role as Vice Chair of the 2026 Northern Territory Youth Round Table, as a council member of Multicultural Youth NT, and through his work on headspace’s Youth Advisory Group, where he contributes to policy development and community support initiatives.

Much of his advocacy stems from his own lived experience, which has shown him that strong mental health policy frameworks are just as important as quality clinical care in ensuring positive outcomes for young people. He is particularly passionate about ensuring marginalised voices are uplifted in this space, so that policies and frameworks reflect the diverse experiences of all young people.

Zahin is also a student ambassador at Charles Darwin University, where he is studying Medicine. His advocacy extends into his studies, and he also co-chairs the General Practice Student Network.

In his free time, Zahin enjoys training at the gym and spending time with loved ones.
